In the sacred streets of Vrindavan, where Krishna once danced with the gopis, sadhus dedicate their entire lives to His bhakti and bhajans. These holy men, some blind, some physically disabled, and others too old to even beg, have left worldly ties to seek oneness with Krishna. But today, they face a harsh reality—hunger.

Dependent on the goodwill of passersby, they beg for food to survive. Yet, the alms are scarce, and the bhandaras offer meals unfit for daily nourishment. Many nights, these sadhus sleep with empty stomachs, their frail bodies aching in silence. Their only prayer? To unite with Krishna. But their suffering is a call we cannot ignore.

Every Holi, Vrindavan transforms into Brij Bhoomi’s beating heart. People from across the world flock here to dance in the festival of colors, celebrating Krishna’s playful spirit. Temples echo with chants, and streets burst with gulal. But while the world revels, our sadhus sit quietly on the sidelines—forgotten, unfed, and unnoticed.

This Holi, let’s change that. At Homeless Care Foundation, we’ve started a Free Daily Tiffin Seva to provide wholesome meals to these sadhus in dire need. We’re feeding the blind sadhu who can’t see the colors, the elderly sadhu too weak to beg, and the devoted soul whose only wealth is Krishna’s name. But we can’t do it alone.
