But devotion cannot shield them from the cruel winter. With temperatures dropping to 0°C or lower, these Mataji endure sleepless nights in the biting cold, with no homes, no warm clothes, and no one to care for them. Most survive on begging, earning just enough to eat, while the freezing nights rob many of their lives.
